I enjoy photography and wanted to share photos I've taken :)

"Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think." -Ephesians 3:17-20

Such a great Fall day :)

Today, I had an amazing fall afternoon in the field by my house. Courtney, Norah, and I enjoyed the perfect weather. We played all afternoon and then Courtney helped me teach children's church as always on Wednesdays. The kids were great tonight and I really enjoyed the lesson so much. It feels great when I feel I get through to them. I truly love taking time to see things through a child's perspective and think it is very important. I believe we are to trust God with faith like a child.
I may have went a little overboard with pictures on this one...

Great song I felt like sharing :)

"For the First Time Again" -Jason Gray

I'm tired of the sound of my own voice
And I'm weary of adding to the noise
And I'm fearful of missing the point of it all

I remember the way it used to be
The way this love felt like the first day of spring
And I want this back more than anything in the world

It's as cold as winter in my veins
And I long to feel the summer rain
Can you take me back to where it all began?

Jesus I come, come to you again
Just like it was the first time
I came to you for new life
I need you now, as much as I did then
I need a new beginning
So Jesus I am coming
For the first time again

I'm jaded from all that I have seen
I'm bitter, but I don't want to be
I'm believing, can you help my unbelief?

Sometimes I think I know too much
But even then it's not enough
Can you take me back so I can move ahead?

Jesus I come, come to you again
Just like it was the first time
I came to you for new life
I need you now, as much as I did then
I need a new beginning
So Jesus I am coming
For the first time again

Take me deep inside the grace that forgets
Instead of down the well worn path of my regrets
I'm older than I've ever been
Can you take me back and make me new again?

Cause I need you now, as much as I did then...

My New Car

I do not have long to put much thought into this post but Ash is dying to see pictures so... A few months ago my deeply loved equinox sadly decided to bite the dust on me... Pap tried everything he could to revive her; but, despite his efforts the equi refused to come back to stable condition. This was extremely sad for me because I truly was attached. I got the equinox when I turned sixteen and had lots of great trip memories in her.
Anyway, my wonderful parents surprised me at work last night with my much anticipated new car. Its a black Chevy Malibu that Dad picked out all on his own. (He's great at that. I LOVE it!) The funny part to the story is that I was locked inside the bank for a good two hours as my brand new car sat outside the window and taunted me! I felt as if i was in prison wishing I could get outside to see it. Ha. Finally 8:30 p.m. rolled around and i got to drive it home :)
I love my new car and am VERY appreciative for it. I feel it looks grown up and classy. I think it will be a great car and I hope to keep it for a very long time.
THANK YOU PARENTS! :)

Fun day with Dad

Dad and I enjoyed the sunshine today :) Thanks to Grammy's sister, Aunt Susan, we got to spend the afternoon swimming. Sadly, I spend most of my time in the bank getting no sun... so needless to say today I got fried. I look a little like a lobster. Haha. It was a beautiful day though and great to get to have a little father daughter time. (Wish you could have been there Ash!)

Photography Class :)

My Grandma Carol and I are now taking a photography class together. It's something I have been wanting to do for a long time and I believe she knew that... so she called me one day and informed me that she had signed us up for a class in Decatur. (I love when she does things like that!) It is on Thursday nights and last about two hours. The class is a beginner class, so I sometimes worry gma is a little bored... but I feel I am learning a lot. I am very excited about it :)

My new toy gma got me for my camera!
this allows me to meter my camera and set my white balance

Memorial Day weekend

I do not have any pictures from this past weekend; but, I felt I really needed to post how great it was.... I spent most of the weekend enjoying time with friends home from school. I stayed up way too late every night and slept much too late each morning. It consisted of lots of starbucks(my addiction is back), attempting to play guitar, bad love movies made hilarious by immature boy comments, playing on playgrounds, shooting basketball, throwing frisbee, and laying in parking lots stargazing while having wonderfully deep God conversations that last until two in the morning :) Oh and I almost forgot... we also slid down a waterfall! (kenlock falls) Who could ask for more? Ha. I really do love my friends… I also spent a little family time at the boat which is always fun. It was nice to spend time with my parents and to get to see Ash and Brent. I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday.

This is a little late... but I felt I needed to blog about my wonderful week off from work... I spent the beginning of the week in Auburn, which was tons of fun and then headed to Birmingham to spend some much needed sister time with Ashley. The end of the week consisted of Ana's bridesmaid spend the night party. That was great because I LOVE going to the lake and the lake house was amazing. It was a wonderful week.

Girls Night! :)

Most amazing decision in 21 years :)

Last night I was blessed to sponsor this little boy, Victor. He is six years old and lives in Guatemala. Victor lives with his parents, four brothers, and one sister in a home made of bamboo poles and a straw roof. Victor is not currently in school. He often helps with the household chores and enjoys playing soccer.

Child sponsorship is something that has been heavy on my heart since I attended a Brandon Heath concert a little less than a year ago. I have hesitated because of the financial commitment; however, with lots of prayer, I felt it was time when WayFM started pushing sponsorship on the air. I am so excited! I've never felt a rush of joy like the one I felt when I clicked submit on the World Vision website. It’s a great organization and I recommend everyone visit the site. The faces of the children will truly touch your heart. I get to write letters to Victor and hope to have an impact in bringing Christ into his life. I just want him to grow up knowing how much God loves him. This is the best decision I have ever made and I trust God will help keep my commitment.

Together we can change lives one child at a time :)

Wonderful Sunday :)

This past Sunday was one of the best days I believe I have ever had. To start off the wonderfulness, Meagan was home for the weekend which was great because I have missed her tremendously. She is so silly and makes me laugh harder than anyone in the world. Everyone needs a good Meagan laugh that makes your side hurt once in a while. I am determined to write to SNL and get her on an episode (its a dream of hers ha) Anyway back to the subject... That morning Wes, my family, and I all went to church and then out to eat with Grammie at Red Lobster. It was tons of fun and great to see the gramster. Then we came home and I gave Mea her birthday present (a Queen CD)and she performed all the songs at the top of her lungs while dancing for Lori, Dad, and I (a moment that truly needed to be on youtube). Then Mea and I visited G-ma Carol and this made me very happy because I don't get to see her often anymore with all of the working and going to school. Then came my favorite part of the day... TRAINING! Look out Ash! I'm going to have dad ready to take you down at depot days. ha. The weather was BEAUTIFUL. Dad, Mea, and I spent the afternoon at the park trying to get in shape. We walked laps, threw football, and played some basketball with Wes. To finish off the amazing day we all went back our house and had a bonfire with MommaLorio. I couldn't have asked for a better day :)

Taking Ashley's Challenge

Ok Ash, this is all for you. I hope you are proud and very surprised. I decided to take your challenge and make a blog. I've never done this before so I'm sure it will not end up anywhere near as great and detailed as yours but I am giving it a shot.
-So my sister recently challenged a list of people to begin blogging for her. Among the group were Lori and Memaw. Just the idea of these two blogging is a quite entertaining thought in itself... Surprisingly they are great at it!(After a crash course from Ashley which made me laugh because of the confusion on both of their faces) Lori is now impressively changing her backgrounds and adding pictures all over her blog. Memaw is typing stories about pap on his motorcycle like a pro. I think I am going to have to get them to teach me some things... And then there is Gma Carol who is just on a completely different playing field... she's a computer wiz so of course she's great at it.
-Well I don't know how much I will get to blog since I am working ALL the time and I don't really have time for anything at all... but I'll try :)
